Spokane (pronounced as “Spo-CAN”) is a city that is located in Washington and is also the largest city within Spokane County. The city is nicknamed “The Lilac City,” since lilacs have flourished in the area since this flower was first introduced to the area during the early 20th century. Spokane City lives by its motto: “Near nature. Near Perfect.”
