About Singapore Flights

Singapore, officially known as the Republic of Singapore, is a city-state located on the Malay Peninsula. It is one of the fastest growing and most prosperous countries in Southeast Asia and the world. As a microstate, it is the smallest nation in Southeast Asia.

During the European settlement, Singapore was mostly valued for its role as port city and was one of the most important trading posts for the British Empire. The city-state also served as the center of British power in Southeast Asia. In the 1960s, after having earned independence, the city merged with others in order to form Malaysia. The merge between Singapore and the other countries, however, proved unsuccessful and Singapore left the merger. The United Nations admitted the city-state on September 1965.

Today, the city-state has a very high standard of living and it has a diverse economy that includes finance, tourism, manufacturing, import and export, and more.
