Texas´ second largest city and the 7th largest in the United States, San Antonio is sparsely populated in some areas and has a low density rate outside its city, which is characteristic of other southwest urban centers. It used to be the fourth fastest developing large city in the United States from 2000 to 2006. The metropolitan areas has a population of approximately 2,031,445 based on a 2008 census making it the twenty-eighth largest metropolis in the U S and behind Dallas and Houston, making it third in Texas.

This city is Bexar County´s seat and was named "St. Anthony" in his own native Portuguese language, and whose feast day is June thirteen. This is due to a Spanish expedition which had stopped by in the area in 1691. San Antonio is located in the northern part of South Texas and is at the hub of Texas tourism and Tejano culture. It is famous for the Alamo, the Riverwalk, the tower of the Americans and Spanish missions. It is also host to Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme parks.
