Rochester is a city that is located in Monroe County, New York. The city which was once known as “The Flour City” is now commonly known as the “The World´s Image Centre” or “The Flower City.” Rochester once ranked sixth as the ‘most livable city’ among the many metropolitan areas in the United States, even receiving top ranks for the overall quality of life among these cities.

Rochester has a colorful environment, being home to a number of cultural institutions. The known East End of the city has been noted for being the center of lively late-night activities. Bars, coffee shops, night clubs and various high-end restaurants surround the area. The top-ranked Eastman School of Music is also located in the same neighborhood.

Other points of interest that can be found in the city include the Highland Park; Durand-Eastman Park; Mt. Hope Cemetery, where Susan B. Anthony, George B. Selden, and Frederick Douglass have been laid to rest; Maplewood Park; and Ontario Beach Park. There are also festivals being celebrated in the city such as the Rochester International Jazz Festival, Corn Hill Festival and Rochester-High Falls International Film Festival.
