Pensacola is a city located in Escambia County, Florida. The city lies close to Pensacola Bay, which connects itself to the Gulf of Mexico. Pensacola is often called the “City of Five Flags,” and the people and government in the city live by the motto: “Enhancing the Quality of Life for all Citizens.”
The city celebrates a number of festivals and events on a yearly basis, which in most cases, attract the attention of many vacationers and tourists. Some of these festivals include the Mardi Gras, Memorial Day, Fiesta of Five Flags, Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, Crawfish Festival, Gay Pride, Florida Springfest, Gracefest, Diesel Dee Diesel Dyow Attempts and many more festivities all throughout the year.
Aside from its annual events, Pensacola is also endowed with many points of interests. Included among these are the West Florida Regional Library, Seville Square, Saenger Theatre and National Museum of Naval Aviation. Pensacola is also the home of several minor league times such as the Pensacola Pelicans for baseball, Gulf Coast Riptide for football and Pensacola Ice Flyers for hockey.
