Palm Beach is a town in Palm Beach County located easternmost of Florida on a long barrier island stretching 16 miles long. To differentiate it from the county, the town is called Palm Beach Island. It is a mixture of a small resort town and cosmopolitan culture, and is a popular holiday getaway that seasonally swells its humble population of 10,000 three times more during vacation time.

Other than its famed opulence for being the home of America´s elite circle, Palm Beach is also popular for its natural wonders. Its most distinguished features are the palm-lined beaches that span 4,760 feet and warmed by a tropical climate of 234 days of sunshine every year. Sun worshippers may choose between public beaches that are staffed with lifeguards round the clock and private resorts like the Phipps Ocean Park. The town is also home to lush greenery that is perfect for hiking and thriving marine environment that is great for diving or snorkeling.

The best place to begin a shopping experience in town is Worth Avenue, the so-called Rodeo Drive of Palm Beach. It is filled with upscale and exclusive stores and shops housed in gorgeous architectures and landscape. Clematis Street, on the other hand, provides the best late night entertainment in town.

A must-see site while in Palm Beach is the Flagler Museum, which used to be the home of Henry Flagler, founder of Standard Oil. Other places of interest in town include the Bethesda-by-the-Sea, J.W.
