Nassau, which is located on the island of New Providence, is the capital and the largest city in the Bahamas. Historically known as a pirate territory, at present, the city, which has a busy port, is the commercial center of the Bahamas. It is more popular though as a world-renowned international tourist destination that makes it a must-stopover of cruise ships sailing in the Bahamas.

With its tropical climate, the city is most famous for its harbor with all its white sandy beaches and clear blue waters where endless activities can be made. It has world-class resorts that offer five-star accommodation services and restaurants that are renowned to provide a wonderful Caribbean gourmet dining experience.

Other than its famous shores, Nassau´s charm can also be attributed to its blissful blend of old world charm and colonial architecture. Culturally significant sites in the city include The Bahamas Historical Society Museum, Lighthouse Museum and Gift Shop, Pirates of Nassau Museum and some art galleries including the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas. Other must-see destinations in the city are the Ardastra Gardens Zoo and Conservation Center, Gregory Arch, Old Town, The Caves, The Forts and The Water Tower.

Despite its laidback charm, Nassau also offers the best of urban lifestyle. The best shopping finds in the city can be found in Bay Street, the main shopping street that runs parallel to the northern shore and the Straw Market. After sundown, the city pulses alive, oozing with an exciting nightlife filled with native shows, modern nightclubs and Vegas-style casinos.
