About Nashville Hotels

Nashville, located in the Cumberland River in a county named Davidson, is more popularly known as Music City and is the capital of Tennessee. It is the second most populated city in this state after Memphis. The combined population for the Nashville-Davidson County was 626,144 in 2008. Being the ‘home of country music,’ Nashville has become a major production and recording center. Numerous independent labels as well as the Big Four record labels hold office in Nashville, specifically in the Music Row area. Nashville´s music industry is estimated to contribute to about nineteen thousand jobs to the Nashville area.

Popular destinations include Fort Negley, Fort Nashborough and The Parthenon which is a full-scale replica of the original in Athens. Nashville´s State Capitol is one of the oldest in the nations and the Hermitage is an old presidential home open to the public. New attractions include the Nashville Zoo. Tourist-oriented restaurants and nightclubs now line its neighborhoods including B B King Blues Club & Grill, Hard Rock Café and Wildhorse Saloon, a popular Nashville boot scooting dance hall.
