Montreal is reputed to be the second largest city in Canada and the largest city in Quebec. The most common language spoken by the people in the city is French although there is a high percentage of English being spoken. The city lives through its motto: “Concordia Salus,” which means “well-being through harmony.”

Buildings, elevators, factories, refineries, and other infrastructures all over the city give a hint of how Montreal used to be as the industrial and financial center of the country. Although no longer the biggest and most progressive city, Montreal has been able to successfully preserve its culture and heritage, which is evident all over the city area.

Sports and other events play a huge part in Montreal, that is why some of the points of interest are sports-related. Some of the attractions found in the city include the Molson Stadium, the Olympic Stadium, the Uniprix Stadium and more. Special events such as the 1976 Summer Olympic Games, the Canadian Grand Prix of Formula One, and the Masters 1000 event are being held in the city every year.
