Honolulu is a combined city and county area located on Oahu Island in the US state of Hawaii. The city and county encompass the all the islands of Oahu as well as several outlying ones. A 2000 census determined that the city-county area has a population of over 870,000. This makes Honolulu the 11th largest municipality in the US.
Founded in 1907, the city-county has a motto that states ‘Ha´aheo No ´O Hononlulu’ (Honolulu Pride). It has a diverse economy, but is mostly focused on service and tourism. Agriculture is also a significant part of Honolulu´s economy. The city-county is served by the Honolulu International Airport.

It is home to several establishments and groups including the Honolulu symphony and the Hawaii Opera Theatre and the Neal Blaisdell Center. It is also home to the Bishop Museum as well as several sports facilities including the Aloha Stadium.

Honolulu International Airport (HNL)
Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is the main gateway to Honolulu when it comes to traveling by air, and it is known as one of the busiest airports in the United States.
To/From the Airport: Traveling to and from the airport has limited options where passengers can choose to ride the airport shuttle, taxis, or on the airport limo. However, renting a car is also possible as these are provided by car rental agencies that are recognized by the airport management.
Features: Lockers, lost and found areas, garden area, restaurants, shopping areas, restrooms, lounges, phone booths, and currency exchange booths are available for the passenger´s convenience while at the airport.
