The Gold Coast is a local government area and city in the southeast corner of Australia´s Queensland. It is the state´s second most populated city and the sixth most populated in the whole country. This city is actually the most populated non-capital in the whole country.

Well known for its sunny subtropical climate, expansive waterways, popular beach surfing and canal systems, as well as skylines composed mainly of high-rise apartments and buildings. The Gold Coast has a tranquil rainforest west of the city and has a lot of tourist attractions and caters an active nightlife.

As a matter of fact, approximately ten million tourists visit the Gold Coast each year composed of 849 international visitors, 3,468,000 domestic visitors and 5,366,000 day-trip visitors.

There are approximately sixty whole kilometers of beach, 500 restaurants, 65,000 bed spaces and six major theme parks in the city. Gold Coast Airport is available for connections across Australia including Virgin Blue, Tiger Airways and Jetstar.
