About Dublin Flights

Dublin is a city and is the capital of Ireland. In Irish, it is known as "Baile Átha Cliath" which means "town of the hurdled ford" or as "Áth Cliath". The name "Dublin" actually came from the word "Dubh Linn" which means "black pool" in Irish. The city started as a Viking settlement then became the Kingdom of Dublin. It has a motto of "Obedientia Civium Urbis Felicitas" which means "The citizens´ obedience is the city´s happiness".

Dublin is reputed to be Europe´s most youthful cities because a rough estimate of its population shows that more than 50% of the people inhabiting the city are aged less than 25. It is quite well known for its universities and colleges – with the University of Dublin as the oldest in the country.

The city is well known for its business districts, nightlife, and various attractions – among these the Temple Bar, the Grand Canal, and many others.
