About Dallas Flights

Dallas is, after Houston and San Antonio, the third largest city in Texas. It is considered to be the main city and economic hub of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington Metropolitan Area. It is listed among the fastest growing cities of America – in population, that is.

Dallas was founded in 1841 but became a city in February of 1856. It is a major historical figure for oil and cotton industries. The city´s topography is notably comprised of flat plains with some marked terrain differences – still, this did not hinder the city from blossoming into one of the world´s largest and busiest inland ports.

The architecture of Dallas is diverse – with several tall skyscrapers dominating the skyline while managing to incorporate small, yet iconic structures and Gothic Revival styles. Such could be found in the Reunion Tower, the Renaissance Tower, the Kirby Building, and others. The city also has a number of universities, hospital complexes, and cultural/sports centers in the vicinity.
