Cabo San Lucas is a city located in the municipality of Los Cabos in Baja California Sur, Mexico. It can be found along the Baja California peninsula´s southern tip. Although according to the 2005 Census, it only has a population of about 56,811, the city is the largest community in the municipality.

The location of Cabo San Lucas has naturally gifted the town with expansive beaches which have, in recent years, gained high tourism growth, making the city a popular high-end tourist destination. Also, many great sites of interest could be found in the area: El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, also known as the Arch at Land´s End, is among the most popular landmarks.

The city is a popular destination for honeymooners, students on break, families, and just about anyone who´d love to sample the beaches, spa, and other activities in the Tourist Corridor and the rest of Cabo San Lucas. In fact, the city is home to the largest marlin tournament in the world. Also, it allows visitors to catch glimpses of pods of whales during winter.
