Beijing is one of the most developed cities in northern China, and it is known as the capital of the People´s Republic of China. It is led as a municipality directly under the administration of the central government. Plus, the city borders the Hebei Provice from the north, south, and west, as well as a portion of the east. Throughout history, Beijing has made its mark by being one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China.

After Shanghai, Beijing ranks as the second largest city in China. Though development is obviously seen throughout the years, Beijing has managed to remain the center of treasures and tradition over the span of 2000 years. In fact, the imperial capital can still be seen, and the well known Forbidden City can still be pictured out quite clearly. In fact, this tourist attraction lies at the heart of the historical center, and is the place that served as the home of the emperors that governed the Qing and Ming dynasties.
