Must Have Vacation Souvenirs

Posted October 02,2009 by Elle McNamara
Taking home souvenirs is a part of any vacation. It may be for yourself or for your friends and family back home. Here are some tips on souvenir shopping if you are uncertain of what kind of you should get.

It´s All In the Name – Buy something with the name of the place you visited on it. This is a good type of souvenir as it will remind you of where you have been. It can be a shirt, a bag, a hat or even a decorative cigarette lighter.

Bringing Home the Icon – A lot places are synonymous with their icons or landmarks. The Statue of Liberty, for example is to New York City what the Eifel Tower is to Paris. When you choose souvenirs, look for those that have the landmark depicted on them. I can be a keychain, a small figurine, or a paperweight.

No matter what kind of souvenir you choose, make sure that you do not spend a fortune on it. There are a lot of affordable yet memorable souvenirs out there.
